------------------------------------------------------------
You can pass information to us in the following ways:
------------------------------------------------------------

(1). Report in person at the front desk of Barton Police Station, or by phoning 101.

(2). Report anonymously via CrimeStoppers by ringing 0800 555 111, or on their website.

(3). You can pass information directly to the Barton Neighbourhood Policing Team (NPT) by taking part in a short 5-minute Humber Talking survey. Please copy and paste this link into a web browser to access the survey: https://forms.office.com/e/BME3ig11BE

The survey helps us identify the key issues in the community. Even if you have previously completed the survey, local issues change so the more responses we receive, the better understanding we have of what matters to you. This will help us to know where to focus our attention. Please complete the survey yourselves, and forward to your friends, family, or any clubs, groups or organisations you may be part of.

As we are only a small Neighbourhod team, we rely heavily on the eyes and ears of the community to provide us with information to help make Barton a safer place to live.

Youth ASB

Issued 02 August 2026

Through out the summer period Barton NPT will be focusing around ASB. By deterring the youths from engaging in nuisance behaviour.

We will continue to patrol the hot spot areas, such as Baysgarth Park, The Sailing Club, The Nature reserve and the Leisure Centre.

During June and July, we received 16 calls for service regarding ASB nuisance. These incidents were mainly related to nuisance motorbikes around the Barton area.

NPT has noticed an increase in motorbikes being ridden in an anti-social manner, with evidence suggesting these riders are traveling from Scunthorpe. In response, Barton NPT organised a dedicated day of action. During this operation, officers successfully seized one motorbike. Furthermore, by improving our response times to incoming calls, we seized an additional two motorbikes, both of which turned out to be stolen.

Youth-related ASB remains very minimal in the area. Incidents are primarily isolated to abandoned buildings, such as the former Reeds Hotel or the well-known site on Barrow Road. The youths involved have been identified, and ASB warning letters have been issued. Joint visits with the Safer Neighbourhoods team and the Housing Association will follow shortly.
