Turning the tide on Coastal Crime - Operation Coastline returns for Summer |
As we head into one of the busiest times of the year, we're once again launching Operation Coastline. Throughout the summer, our officers and partners will be working across our coastal communities to help keep residents, businesses and visitors safe. Alongside high-visibility patrols, we'll be carrying out targeted policing activity to tackle shoplifting, road crime and the anti-social use of motorcycles, disrupt organised crime groups, and address violence against women and girls, particularly in and around the night-time economy. By combining visible policing with community engagement and intelligence-led operations, we'll be focused on preventing crime and anti-social behaviour while helping our coastal communities remain welcoming places to live, work and visit. Stay up to date with the latest by following @HumberBeat on Facebook and keeping an eye on #OpCoastline and #TurningTheTideOnCoastalCrime. You can also sign up to My Community Alert to receive free local policing updates, crime prevention advice and information about incidents and appeals in your area. By staying informed, you'll be the first to hear about what's happening locally and how you can help keep your community safe.
To learn more about Operation Coastline, watch Superintendent Paul French, Head of Community Safety, discuss the operation and its aims in our video: Op Coastline - Summer launch 2026 | ||
