SAFER ROADS HUMBER: Ghost plates

Safer Roads Humber are supporting the national roads policing enforcement campaign focusing on ghost number plates, where drivers have deliberately changed their number plate to try to avoid detection. 

Having a ghost plate is illegal and could result in a £1,000 fine if taken to court. 

National research shows that motorists with ghost plates often undertake other risky driving behaviours like speeding or being impaired and there are strong links to organised criminal activities.
