Alert - Anti-Social Behaviour Incident |
||
|
Good afternoon,
We are aware of the recent concerns regarding anti-social behaviour and 'door kicking' incidents in Barton. While we monitor social media, it is vital that these incidents are reported directly to us via 101 or our online portal; without official reports, it is difficult to allocate the necessary resources to the specific times they are needed.
If you experience any issues, such as youths kicking doors, placing items through letterboxes, or shouting abuse, please report it to us immediately. If we aren't made aware of these incidents, we cannot take the necessary steps to resolve them.
We also urge parents to be proactive. Do you know where your children are at night and who they are with? Recent reports involve a group of 4–5 young males, estimated to be between 10 and 14 years old cauing ASB.
Before your children head out, please have a conversation with them about the impact of their actions. A door they kick could belong to an elderly neighbour, a family in a safe house fleeing domestic abuse, or someone simply struggling with a difficult day. Please note: If these incidents continue, they will be escalated to harassment. We work closely with the local council and housing associations, both of whom fully support enforcement action where necessary.
Thank you,
