Supervise Children- Ensure children are supervised and stay within sight to avoid being separated. The Sandi Starfish scheme is in place along the 3 mile stretch of the Cleethorpes coast there will be up to seven locations with tall flags displaying the distinct “Sandi Starfish” design printed on them. “Sandi Starfish” wristband can be obtained from different locations throughout the resort who will be displaying Sandi Starfish logos and posters. Important information can be written on the back of the wristband- consider an agreed safe place to meet up in case you get separated.

Water Safety- Think carefully about your ability to splash or swim in cold outdoor water. Are you really a good swimmer? Never use inflatables in open water– although they look fun, inflatable water toys can quickly get caught in the wind and be blown out to sea.

BBQ'S- Always keep a barbecue supervised, place it on a level surface away from flammable materials, and keep children and pets away from the cooking area. Have a bucket of water or sand nearby for emergencies and ensure the barbecue is completely cool before moving or disposing of it. In case of a fire call 999 immediately and ask for Fire Service. 

Alcohol- Bars won’t serve anybody who is extremely intoxicated. You might be asked to leave, or they can lose their licence. If you’re out these summer nights, stick with your friends and family. Plan your travel home and only use licensed local taxi's or companies- on no occasion drink and drive. 

Animals/Pets Safety- Should never be left unattended in a car on a warm or hot day, even for a short period, as cars can quickly heat up to dangerous and even fatal temperatures. Leaving windows open or providing water is not sufficient to prevent overheating and heatstroke. If you see a dog in distress in a hot car, contact the police or RSPCA immediately.

ASB- If you witness any ASB including nuisance motorbikes report this via 101 or online portal. If able gather any evidence of the offence to support police enforcement such as vehicle details, CCTV or photographs.
