Op Forager Scunthorpe Town Centre, Your Opinion!

Good afternoon,

I am emailing you regarding the recent work over Op Forager across Scunthorpe Town centre with Elsa the drugs dog.

Could I have your opinion if it has worked? or Anything that could be improved for future days of action in the Town Centre.

We have deployed 18 dedicated days of action deployments over the last couple of months.

This has included Elsa the drugs dog and high visibility patrol officers and officers supporting in plain clothed tactics getting some positive results.

This has resulted in:

x18 Deployments

x 156 Stop and Searches

x 52 Arrests

x6 Possession with intent to supply a controlled substance (Class A & B)

x16 Possession of a controlled substance (Class A, B & C)

x4  Possession of a bladed article

x26 for other offences included Theft, Assault, Fraud, Prison Recall, FTA, Assault Police, Damage, Blackmail, Burglary)

x2 Seizure of moped & rider dealt with for road traffic offences

Numerous intelligence reports submitted after every deployment
