Crime Data: Humberston and New Waltham Ward: May 2025

As a result of your calls for service, the following crime data is for May 2025 for Humberston and New Waltham Wards.

 

Humberston Ward

 

Crime

There were forty-two reported crimes across the Humberston & New Waltham Ward for May. For Humberston these included: 

Vehicle Crime

  • On 4th May, a car parked outside a chalet on the Fitties was entered. Bank cards, cash and a mobile phone were stolen. 
  • On 11th May, clothing and jewellery were stolen from a vehicle parked on Thorpe Park.  
  • Criminal Damage

  • During a drunken altercation, a male caused damage to a gate and bathroom door at a caravan on Thorpe Park. One male has been arrested. 
  • A gate separating the Fitties from Thorpe Park has been damaged. 
  • One domestic related criminal damage.                                                                                    
  • Other crime include

  • Six assaults. 
  • Three reports of harassment. 
  • Two minor public order incidents.                                                                                                     
  • Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB)

     

    There were no reports of ASB.

     

    New Waltham Ward

     

    There were forty-two reported crimes across the Humberston & New Waltham Ward for May to date. Of these, the following have occurred in New Waltham. 

    Vehicle Crime

  • Overnight 9th & 10th May, a roller shutter on a van parked on Peakes Avenue was forced open. Luggage was stolen. 
  • Criminal Damage

  • Between 1st and 6th May, four vehicles belonging to students at Toll Bar school have had damage caused to them when an implement has been used to scratch the bodywork whilst parked on Wellington Avenue. 
  • Damage was caused to stock in the Spar shop by a woman who refused to leave when asked to do so by staff.                                                                                                                
  • Other crime include

  • Three assaults. 
  • Two reports of harassment. 
  • Three making off without payment for fuel. 
  • One shop theft from the Co-Op                                                                                               
  • Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB)

    There have been four reports of ASB: 

  • A report of people sleeping in tents on a field at the rear of Priors Close. 
  • One report of motorbikes being ridden illegally on land off Peaks Parkway. 
  • Two reports of youths causing issues on the Pavilion playing fields

    How you can help 

    Your local Neighbourhood Policing Team appreciates the importance of being in the right place, at the right time, for the right reasons to reassure the public, improve public confidence and reduce crime and anti-social behaviour in the area in which we all live and work.   

                                                                                                        

    We encourage all residents to call and report any issues where they live so that we can deal with any issues and step up our patrols in the area.
