Good Morning.

We have been made aware of a telephone scam that was reported to us by a Hornsea resident for your awareness.

A telephone call is made using a with held number and the caller says that they are calling from London Police and they give you what they say is their badge number they then say that they are calling because your bank card has been involved in a purchase and that somebody is performing I.D theft on you, they then tell you that you need to ring the fraud office and give you a reference number and a number to call.

The resident attended at their bank and no transactions had been made with their card. 

If this happens to you please do not give out any of your personal details or bank details or call any numbers given to you, if you are concerned contact or call in at your bank or the banking HUB in Hornsea to check your accounts.
