Are you. or someone you know, looking for an exciting opportunity to meet new people, whilst learning all about policing? If the answer is yes, then our applications for our next intake of Police Cadets are open! Applications are open to anyone aged between 15-16 within the Humberside region and have lived in the UK for three years or more. As part of the scheme, you will need to be able to commit two hours a week on Wednesday evening throughout term-time. You will also need to be able to volunteer an additional three hours a month, at minimum, to work with the team and the wider community. Community Engagement Co-ordinator, Katie Hardy said: “Our volunteer Police Cadets have had a number of opportunities to get involved with all aspects of policing. “Some of these opportunities have included visiting the force control room, custody, and the courts to see the full process of the justice system. They have also been taking part in ride-alongs with our response teams. “The cadet scheme is a fantastic opportunity for young people, and I strongly encourage anyone who is interested in learning more about what we do to apply to find out what the policing world is like.” If you’re interested in becoming a Humberside Police Cadet, then you can apply here. Applications are open until midnight on Wednesday, 30 April.
