Officers investigating a reported aggravated burglary in Howden are appealing for anybody with information to come forward.

On Friday 7 March, at approximately 9.40pm, a man has reportedly gained entry to a property on Applegate in Howden before seriously assaulting the homeowner with a hammer, taking his mobile phone and fleeing the scene.

Enquiries are ongoing and we would appeal to anyone who lives in the vicinity of Applegate in Howden and information to call us on our non-emergency number 101, quoting investigation reference 25*31196.
