This week South Ward NPT officers and partner agencies are supporting the national Safer Business Action Week, a week of action helping locally businesses tackle retail crime that affects them. 

We have visited a varying range of business types, from newsagents, to petrol stations and even the locally chippy, to talk all things retail crime and staff safety measures. 

During these visits we have also positively engaged with shoppers who told us how they felt about visiting retail premises on our ward and so far the feedback has been positive. 

Measures we are putting in place this week will hopefully have a lasting impact moving forward for businesses. 

To report a retail crime or suspicious behaviour that you may become aware of whilst shopping, please let staff know so they can follow their relevant protocols they have in place. You can also let us know information about known criminals who target shops or businesses on 101 or via Crimestoppers.
