Race Action Plan Conference invitation.

Good afternoon dear respected community members,

I want to take this opportunity and introduce myself to you. I am Police Constable 1264 Mansoor (Manny) Gul, I am a local resident of Scunthorpe. I have lived in Scunthorpe since the mid 1980's since I was a boy. I know the town very well and understand the diversity within it. I am also fortunate to be a local Police Officer and work in the capacity of Community Cohesion.

My job is all about creating strong and positive links between Humberside Police and the diverse communities that we serve. I also concentrate on bringing all communities together in a positive way. It is not enough to just create strong links but once the strong links have been created, I then concentrate on maintaining those links and continue with positive engagement.

Humberside Police is striving to improve relations with the diverse communities that we serve within Humberside Police area. We particularly want to reach out to black members of our communities to sit around a table to discuss and receive advice about how we can work together on community matters in a better way. It is crucial that there is a mutual respect and we have the trust of the community.

In light of above, I want to take this opportunity and inform you that Humberside Police has arranged a Police Race Action Plan conference and would very much like you to attend and take part. Please see invitation to attend the Police Race Action Plan Conference which will be held at Melton 2 Police Station conference room, North Ferriby, Wyke Way, North Ferriby HU14 3BQ, on Tuesday 10th September 2024, meeting times are 10 am to 4 pm.

Please see below weblink regarding Police National Race Action Plan, take a look when you have time. We have invited many black and minority community members to attend this conference who live or work within Humberside Police area.

Humberside Police will pay for fuel and bridge expenses should you decide to drive to meeting location. I will provide you with an expense claims form after the meeting.
