Stolen Motorcycles and Motorcycles Used In Crime


Yesterday evening, at approximately 8:15pm, Kirk Ella NPT officers were informed by the community about two motorcycles acting suspiciously in the areas of West Ella and Kirk Ella. 

 

Officers immediately attended the area, and with assistance from members of the public, the motorcycles were sighted heading towards Hessle. 

 

After a short pursuit, the motorcycle and a helmet were abandoned on Acadia Grove, Hessle. Two males made off into gardens between Acadia Grove and Buttfield Road. 

 

Enquiries are ongoing to identify the persons on the motorcycle.

There are a number of things you can do to help prevent thieves targeting your property:

 

  • Remain vigilant and secure your property as best as possible. 
  • Utilise CCTV cameras and floodlights as a visible deterrent. 
  • Lock garden gates, garages and sheds when not in use.
